What is deskString?

deskString is the intermediate service level of String offered to users managing large volumes of traceability information.

deskString users can save time spent entering data manually in to String by uploading spreadsheets of data using standard office software with one touch.

deskString users can receive information from their suppliers about the materials they buy in as well as send information to customers about the products they make, and the business practices they operate.

Sharing Organisational Information:
deskString users can record and share information about their working practices; including photographs, certificates, and performance data.

Receiving and Sending Product Information:
deskString users can receive information about the materials they buy in from their suppliers. They can also record information about the products they make, and send this to their customers when they deliver the product.

Uploading Traceablity Data:
deskString users can upload data to String with one touch by e-mailing spreadsheets of data formatted to match their account configuration. deskString captures the data and sends e-mail confirmation that the transaction has been successful.

deskString users can upload information from their everyday e-mail account about their own working practices and products, as well as materials bought in from suppliers, and send this information to customers at the push of a button.

Number of Users
– deskString provides 24 x 7 access to the online String technology platform for up to 3 registered users.
– Additional users can be added to an account at an extra cost of £10 per user per month.

Unlimited Products and Processes
– deskString users can set up their account to manage traceability information for an unlimited number of products and processes.

Profile Manager
– deskString users can actively manage their company’s online profile, so that customers can learn more about the company’s capabilities and business practices.

Receiving/Sending Information
– deskString users can receive traceability information from suppliers as well as send information to customers.

Data Entry
– deskString users upload spreadsheets of data to String from their everyday e-mail account with one touch.

Price
– There is a £250 sign-up fee, which includes a complimentary online Training session.
– The online monthly subscription for deskString is £60 per month
