I've been invited to join String - what should I do next?
Welcome to String — you're just a few steps away from joining!
- Click on the link in your invitation email. This will activate your invitation, and allow you to choose a unique password.
- A member of the String Support Team in your local area will contact you to arrange an online training session. Before the training session they will ask you to provide some key information, such as the names of the three users who you would like to be able to access your String site (you will automatically be the 'primary user' - your String Support member can change this if you wish), and the type of organisation you are, for example 'spinner'.
- Your String trainer will configure your String site according to your answers, and then provide a one-to-one online training session of 1-2 hours, to help you get the most out of using String. You don't need a webcam for this session, but you will be able to see your String trainer's screen, so that they can guide you through the process step by step.
- During the training session you will be shown how to respond to the Request for Data (RFD) that your customer has sent to you. By the end of the session you will be able to record your production details in String, along with any supporting documentation your customers require.

If you don't yet have an invitation to join String, please contact one of your customers or suppliers who uses String and ask them to send you an invitation when they next place an order with you or send you your next shipment.
