All data stored on Historic Futures Ltd (HF) servers through the use of the String services will be subject to the terms of HF's privacy policy and relevant data protection laws.
Partners have no access to information held in String user accounts other than as aggregated, non-attributable data. When a Partner wishes to access or publish specific information held in String, the Partner must obtain explicit consent from the String account user concerned first.
Authorised users of String will be able to issue "join requests" through the String services. A "join request" is the mechanism by which existing users of the services can request their selected suppliers to subscribe to String. Users have complete control over which accounts they share data with and what data is shared.
Users of String will be using the services to store data and information. HF will not review, share, distribute, print, or reference any such data and information except as provided for in the HF's standard Terms of Use or as may be required by law. Individual records may at times be viewed or accessed only for the purpose of resolving a problem, support issue, or suspected violation of the Terms of Use, or as may be required by law.
By using String to send consignments of data to another String account, String users permit users of that account to share, distribute, or reference any of those data.
Account holders within each company are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of their user registration and password at all times and must notify Historic Futures Limited immediately of any suspected breach of this condition.
Historic Futures Limited does not collect personally identifiable information about individuals except when individuals specifically provide information on a voluntary basis. For example, personally identifiable information may be gathered from the registration process for newsletters, suggestions, and voting/polling activities. Personally identifiable information on individual users will not be sold or otherwise transferred to affiliates or third party companies without the approval of the user at the time of the collection.
Historic Futures Limited reserves the right to perform statistical analysis of user behaviour and characteristics in order to measure interest in and use of various areas of the web sites. We may provide aggregated data from these analyses to third parties. This site may contain links to other sites.
